Over the last several months, I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a few different audio products from EarFun. While not as large a brand as Samsung or JBL, they have consistently been on the higher end of my recommendation list, thanks to their excellent audio quality, fair pricing, and robust features in all their products.
EarFun’s latest offering, the Air Pro 4, is a new set of Bluetooth earbuds packed with a wide range of features and specs sure to please most listeners, all at a price of $89.99. Available in two colours—white and black—they may not be as flashy as some other earbuds on the market, but that’s not a big concern for most people. I opted for the black set, which blends seamlessly with most of my tech gear.

The EarFun Air Pro 4s package come with the earbuds, a charging case, a cable, and four additional sizes of ear tips, ensuring a perfect fit—unlike most companies, which typically offer only a size up or down, along with the usual paperwork.
While the charging case isn’t the smallest on the market, it’s still decently compact and features indicator lights to show approximately how much battery is left. EarFun has also incorporated wireless charging into the case, a welcome addition for those who prefer fewer cables in their life. However, it takes up to 4 hours to fully charge the case and buds wirelessly, so if you’re in a hurry, it’s best to use a cable, which cuts the time down to around 2 hours.
“The Air Pro 4 earbuds themselves deliver up to 11 hours of playback, and the case provides up to 52 hours in total.”
Battery life is impressive, keeping you away from the charger for much longer than nearly all other earbuds I’ve tested. The Air Pro 4 earbuds themselves deliver up to 11 hours of playback, and the case provides up to 52 hours in total. With ANC enabled, this decreases to 7.5 hours and 35 hours, respectively, but this is typical for any set of earbuds. When it’s time to charge, the case can provide an additional 2 hours of listening time in just 10 minutes. While this isn’t a bad number, I found myself wishing for more, especially after seeing the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pros deliver 11 hours in the same amount of time.

As with all EarFun products I’ve tested, the Air Pro 4s delivers exceptional audio quality, thanks partly to the larger-than-average 10mm driver paired with Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and LDAC Codec technologies. Music always sounded rich and detailed, with no noticeable distortion. Audio can be further tuned in the EarFun app, where you can adjust the level of ANC, EQ, and even customize the controls on each earbud to your liking.
The Air Pro 4 earbuds are also versatile. They have an IPX5 sweat—and water-resistant rating, which is on the higher end of the protection most earbuds offer. While it’s not the highest I’ve seen—some earbuds now offer dust protection, which could be handy for people who work in dusty environments like construction sites—it should be sufficient for most users.
I enjoyed my experience with the EarFun Air Pro 4s. Like all its products, EarFun packs a lot of tech into its offerings while keeping prices competitive with the bigger players in the market. However, as the market becomes increasingly competitive, EarFun may need to innovate more, particularly when it comes to battery charging times. While it’s not a major concern for some users, those who occasionally forget to charge their buds may find themselves looking elsewhere.
